Are you guys prepared for a car that brakes itself to reduce damage to the vehicle. The Backup Collision Intervention (or BCI) system can detect approaching cars, humans and other animals, potentially avoiding driveway deaths and injuries.
This technology which is the first of a new generation of collision avoidance technologies will be available within the weeks in Australia. It provides audible and visual warnings before pushing back on the accelerator pedal in an effort to alert the driver and if the car is still moving, the system will “momentarily” apply the brakes.
